Kevan Parekh named Apple’s new CFO

2 Sept 2024

From January 1st, 2025, Kevan will succeed Luca Maestri, the outgoing CFO, who will continue to head the corporate services, information systems and security, IT, and real estate and development.

Under planned succession planning, Kevan Parekh will join Apple’s executive team as the CFO on January 1st, 2025. Parekh joined the tech major eleven years ago, providing financial support for Apple’s product marketing, engineering, and internet sales and marketing teams. He then led their global sales, retail, and marketing finance.

He is currently Vice President of financial planning and analysis, G&A and benefits, market research, and investor relations. Before Apple, Parekh assumed senior leadership positions in General Motors and Thomson Reuters.

The change comes just before the new iPhone's launch this fall. Expected to be the biggest software upgrade for the phone maker yet, Apple will roll out new AI features to compete with brands that have recently launched their AI upgrades, like Samsung’s Gemini.

Under Maestri’s leadership, Apple made some critical investment decisions, which more than doubled its revenue and over five-folded its services earnings.
